Full Patch notes can be found here . All the things pertaining Resto druids are found here though.
Also, don't forget to read up and research on tank changes, it's quite important to be inquisitive about how they play their game as well.
----------------------------------------
Well, I find myself sitting in class at 9:30 the day after 3.1 came out. Last night was quite exciting, needless to say, and my guild successfully was able to down Flame Leviathan and Razorscale. What many Resto druids are wondering now is how 3.1 has changed us as a class. My first reaction to the basic changes were:
I haven't had a chance to use the new abolish poison yet, but I can already say I enjoy the new Abolish Poison. Most poisons don't tick rapidly to begin with, so the 2 second tick was a bit of a waste. Also, this allows the resto druid to spend more time doing their job, healing.
Innervate now costs no mana, like it always should have.
Living Seed heals are now properly credited to the druid.
Improved Mark of the Wild talent is now a must for every class. +2% to all attributes in the first tier? Yes please!
Though I've yet to pvp since 3.1, Improved Barkskin seems a bit underpowered for a 10th tier talent. It is quite situational as the resistance to dispel isn't 100%, and the number of people dispelling our hots are few in number. the -10% damage reduction may help in a tight spot, but I still don't see this talent being highly utilized.
Revitalize is actually worth specing into now. Last night I noticed it effecting people quite often. make sure you allow some points for this talent if you used to skip it.
Tree of Life got a nice little buff. Now the mana reduction costs apply outside of form as well. While this may not seem particularly useful at first, It is. Imagine being able to use cheetah form to quickly travel from one part of the battle to the other in order to quickly deliver an emergency heal. Now imagine that you you get to save a little mana in the process. This will be more heavily utilized in pvp than pve, though there are several 'outdoor' encounters in Ulduar.
The changes to Lifebloom, Improved Regrowth (Now Natures Bounty), Intensity, and Spirit are by far the most changing and discussion on these will be reserved for later posts.
